COMING-OF-AGE FEATURE film

Brook, a gun engraver who thought he had retired from serving royalty after witnessing enough dehumanisation of the lower classes, finds himself out of work when he settles in Mouse’s town, a 12-year-old orphan with a reputation for mischief. When word of his trade spreads, Mouse brings him stolen money in exchange for a job on his newfound gun. Brook refuses the kid's money and decides to make a man out of the kid before he turns into what everyone cast him to be before Mouse could choose himself: a criminal. As Mouse starts to trust him, old noblemen tied to Brook's past force him to betray his values. As Mouse progresses, he is dragged deeper into the violence of his secret, knowing that if Mouse finds out, the boy won't be able to trust again.
