Bertha, a hard-working mother, refuses to face her daughter’s death, selling her belongings in the hope of moving on more quickly from her grief. In the process, she must confront not only friends and relatives but also the secrets Isabella never shared. When it comes to the last goodbye, Bertha is forced to accept her daughter’s choices; or live with the weight of never truly knowing her.
